Their advice was banned from public schools decades ago, and now the United States has gone from prosperity to bankruptcy, and from admiration to ridicule.

If he were alive today, Adams would be more passionate. In his day, he was guarding what already existed. In our day, he would say we urgently need to cultivate something which has been lost. Far from being "extraordinary," Adams would say you are

Three Huge Mistakes of America's Founding Fathers

What is a True American?  A Marxist is not a True American. A Nazi is not a true American. A True American is someone who opposes tyranny, even risking "our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor." The Declaration of Independence says it is our duty to abolish any government that becomes a tyranny. The original Boston Tea Party involved a tax on tea of 3 pence per pound. You pay ten times more in taxes on every gallon of gas. The Federal Government prohibits the teachers in your local public schools from teaching students that the Declaration of Independence is really true -- only that a bunch of dead white males used to believe it was true. If Samuel Adams, John Hancock, or George Washington were to travel through time and visit with you, would they say you are a real American? In what way are you a real American? In what way does their America still exist?

Benjamin Franklin (sometimes Thomas Jefferson) is often quoted as saying:

Those who would give up Essential Liberty
to purchase a little Temporary SECURITY,
deserve neither Liberty nor SECURITY.

Franklin, Jefferson, and Sam Adams would all say you are not a real American, and don't deserve liberty or security.

The first step to becoming extraordinary is to admit that you have already lost your liberties, and the "security" promised to you by politicians is an illusion. Social "Security." National "Security."

A true American is also a Christian.

On May 2, 1778, when the Continental Army had emerged from its infamous winter at Valley Forge, Commander-in-Chief George Washington issued the following:

The commander-in-chief directs that divine service be performed every Sunday at eleven o'clock in those brigades [in] which there are chaplains; those which have none [are] to attend the places of worship nearest to them. It is expected that officers of all ranks will by their attendance set an example to their men. While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian. The signal instances of providential goodness which we have experienced, and which have now almost crowned our labors with complete success, demand from us in a peculiar manner the warmest returns of gratitude and piety to the Supreme Author of all good.—

On May 12, 1779, in a speech to the Delaware Indian Chiefs, Washington coached them:

You do well to wish to learn our arts and ways of life, and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ. These will make you a greater and happier people than you are. Congress will do every thing they can to assist you in this wise intention.

Would George Washington and Samuel Adams say you are a true Christian? Do you know as much about the religion of Jesus Christ as the Delaware Indians did? How about the average teenager in American public schools in 1776?

If you're an ordinary American, the answer is, without much doubt, NO. The average colonial teenager knew much more than you do about the religion of Jesus Christ.

John Witherspoon was undoubtedly one of the most influential educators of his day. His students at Princeton University included one President, one Vice President, three Supreme Court Justices, 10 Cabinet members, 12 Governors, 60 Congressmen (21 Senators; 39 Representatives) plus scores of state officials and members of the Constitutional Convention. Witherspoon said:

" . . . he is the best friend to American liberty, who is most sincere and active in promoting true and undefiled religion, and who sets himself with the greatest firmness to bear down profanity and immorality of every kind. Whoever is an avowed enemy of God, I scruple not [would not hesitate] to call him an enemy to his country."

Most Americans today are enemies of America. That is, enemies of the ideal that America's Founding Fathers fought for: Liberty Under God.

To be a great American, America's Founders said, you have to be a Christian.

A person can be a communist and still raise money for a national monument, but he can't be a good American, because communism is contrary to Americanism. An atheist can love America, and even die in battle, but atheism is contrary to the genius of America. In 1783, at the end of the War for Independence, General George Washington told an assembly of state governors:
I now make it my earnest prayer, that God would have you, and the State over which you preside, in his holy protection . . . that he would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind, which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things, we can never hope to be a happy nation."[source]
America can't be a happy (blessed) nation unless she is a Christian nation, imitating Christ. Atheists can make valuable contributions to society, but atheism does not advance Americanism and Liberty Under God.

So should the government arrest atheists, execute them, and confiscate their property? Does that sound like a "humble imitation" of "that charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind, which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion?"

Should Christians get out their muskets and kill Red Coats? No. I would conclude, therefore, that a True American does not engage in violent revolution against the government. I realize that America's Founders did this. If they were here today they would -- at least at first -- advocate the violent overthrow of Washington D.C. I think upon reflection they would realize that violent revolution against an entity with paramilitary SWAT teams and nuclear weapons would be futile. Americans are virtually unarmed.

You can say I'm being arbitrary or inconsistent in my definition of a True American, but I think America's Founders would come around to my point of view. We need a revolution of ideas, not bullets. Muskets can't defend something we don't already have. The Bible says "pay your taxes" and opposes the violent overthrow of the State. A true American is someone who is committed to becoming a better Christian.

So what is a true Christian?

A True Christian is someone whose allegiance to God and His Commandments is greater than his allegiance to Caesar. Christians oppose violent revolution, and generally obey Caesar, but when there's a conflict, the Apostles said, "We must obey God rather than man." In 1892 the United States Supreme Court unanimously declared that America was a Christian nation, a nation "Under God." That case was thrown out in the 20th century, when the Supreme Court invented the modern myth of the United States as a secular nation with a "wall of separation" between God and government. Today a true Christian cannot become a public school teacher, attorney at law, or hold public office.

I passed the California Bar Exam, but a Federal Court in Los Angeles told me I could not be permitted to take the oath to "support the Constitution" because my allegiance to God is greater than my allegiance to the atheistic government in Washington D.C. The Court cited a U.S. Supreme Court case in which a Christian in Illinois was denied a license to practice law for similar reasons. The vast majority of people who claim to be Christians are Christians in theory, but atheists in practice. They never run into problems like this, because they are functional atheists.

A true Christian is someone who -- throughout his life  -- is "growing in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." You are not truly human if you are not an enemy of atheistic tyranny, and if you're not a friend of "Liberty Under God." You are not truly human -- you are defacing the Image of God -- if you are an imperialist who initiates force to impose your will on others. You are not truly human if you are a brain-dead zombie, a mindless 8-5 worker-ant, a drone of the Empire. "Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the empire is the enemy of God" (James 4:4; Colossians 1:6; James 1:27; 1 John 5:19)

Peter Maurin wrote:

2. To serve and not to rule
   that is what makes man human.

   that is what makes man human.

   that is what makes man human.

Life is a race.

The Bible says you need to train for life like a dedicated athlete.

America was once an extraordinary nation. The most prosperous and admired nation in history. This is not just economic bankruptcy, this is economic insanity, moral and religious bankruptcy. To compensate for this bankruptcy, the U.S. displays its military force around the world. As a result, the U.S. is no longer admired, but despised as a global bully. Terrorists seek vengeance against the U.S. for the murder of many family and friends. We are not safe.

The American Dream

What is "The American Dream?"
• Is it to work two jobs so that more than half of everything you earn can be taken by the government and given to special interests and causes you don't agree with?
• Is it to build a home and fill it with memories only to have it seized by politicians whose campaign contributors want to build a strip mall on your property?
• Is it a 6% 30-year mortgage with a fixed rate? ("Wow! A fixed rate!")

No. None of these are the original American dream. They would all be considered a nightmare.

What motivated the Founding Fathers? What caused them to risk so much -- their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor?

Answer: the idea of every American owning his own "vine and fig tree," free and clear, and dwelling in safety and peace, without being molested by princes or politicians, lawyers or tax collectors.

Following the end of the war in 1783, Washington returned to private life and retired to his plantation at Mount Vernon. He spoke of his desire to live safely under his own Vine & Fig Tree.

George Washington's Diaries are available online at the Library of Congress. They are introduced with these words:

No theme appears more frequently in the writings of Washington than his love for his land. The diaries are a monument to that concern. In his letters he referred often, as an expression of this devotion and its resulting contentment, to an Old Testament passage. After the Revolution, when he had returned to Mount Vernon, he wrote the Marquis de Lafayette on Feb. 1, 1784: "At length my Dear Marquis I am become a private citizen on the banks of the Potomac, & under the shadow of my own Vine & my own Fig-tree." This phrase occurs at least 11 times in Washington's letters. "And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree" (2 Kings 18:31).

It is also a phrase from the prophet Micah, the idea of everyone owning property and enjoying the fruits of their labor without fear of theft or political oppression, of sitting peacefully under your "Vine & Fig Tree."

This is the original "American Dream."

Most Americans today think of a low-interest, fixed rate mortgage as the American Dream. America's Founding Fathers would say this was a nightmare. They would be even more shocked to find that your home (the bank's home) can be taken away from you and given to developers of shopping malls if they promise to pay more taxes than you.

Though it's not like you don't pay much in taxes. If you pay one dime in personal federal income tax, then the federal government is taking over two-thirds of everything you earn.

You might think that this dream -- owning your own property free and clear, no mortgage, no IRS liens, no property taxes, and no fear of invaders or conquerors -- is a "pipe dream." Utopia. You might think it's an impossible dream. But nearly every human being who settled in America soon realized this dream, or had every realistic hope that in a few years this dream would be lived by children or grandchildren. Two hundred years ago, nearly all Americans lived this dream. It can be attained again, but only if we stop believing the false promises of politicians and stop believing that this dream is possible simply by voting for Washington D.C. to hand it to us on a silver platter.

If any of America's Founding Fathers were to travel through time and live in your spare bedroom for a year -- if they could find out what happened to the Constitution they signed and see how you react to a government that is more tyrannical than the one described in the Declaration of Independence -- they would conclude that you are not a real American.

If they could probe your knowledge of Christianity, they would conclude that you are a heathen.

If they could see how you use your time, they would be appalled at how you waste the talents that God has given all human beings, who are created in His image.

Your economic future is in jeopardy, because you -- and 300 million "Americans" like you -- are morally and spiritually bankrupt.

George Washington prayerfully read the Bible every morning for an hour, and then again in the evening for an hour. It was as much a part of his work day as a doctor reading an article from a medical journal, or a lawyer reading the opinion of a court. The Bible was a blueprint for the building of a new nation.

You are building your life without a blueprint. It is about to crumble.

Life is a race. If you want to win the Gold Medal, the first thing you need is a coach.

You are a victim of Educational Malpractice.

Compared to colonial Americans, you are an ignorant barbarian. Sure, you know how to use your Blackberry. But bring a 9-year-old into the 21st century from 1776, and the kid would be able to figure out how to use your computer and remote control as fast as you did. But Colonial Americans could read the Federalist Papers and debate the issues intelligently. You can't. They had the moral courage to fight against tyranny. You don't.

There were three things that America's Founding Fathers believed schools should teach, and you were deprived of all three -- by law. These three things are prescribed in America's "Organic Law," and even today can still be found in many state constitutions, but you probably don't even know what "organic law" means.

What were the three things that every school in America was supposed to teach?

Religion was once deemed to be a function of the public school system. The Northwest Ordinance, which antedated the First Amendment, provided in Article III that
Religion, morality, and knowledge being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.

Incredibly, those words were written by one of the U.S. Supreme Court Justices who approved the removal of religion from public schools. The words are found in the 1962 case of Engel v. Vitale, in the concurring opinion of Justice William O. Douglas. The Northwest Ordinance, along with the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, is part of what legal scholars call "the Organic Law" of America. The Northwest Ordinance was the blueprint for the constitutions of states admitted to the union. Many states quoted this passage verbatim, and their state constitutions acknowledge the three things that America's Founding Fathers believed were essential to a good education:

Students cannot gain "knowledge" in a chaotic, noisy, disruptive classroom. But students who do not know Christian religion and morality think they are their own god. They don't have to obey school authorities, and they don't have to respect the learning environment of fellow students. So when the U.S. Supreme Court removed religion from public schools, it removed morality (because morality is religion externalized), and thereby removed knowledge. In a class full of would-be gods, the presence of one student who knows more than the others is an offence. It hurts the fragile "self-esteem" of a wanna-be god, and so all students must be equally stupid. Knowledge depends on religion and morality.

George Washington's Study

George Washington spent an hour each morning and an hour each evening in "private devotions," as his daughter Nelly Parke Custis testified. These were not fluffy, syrupy, or escapist devotionals. George Washington was prayerfully discerning the blueprints for the creation of a new nation. His devotionals were not in a chapel, but in a library. 

Jared Sparks was President of Harvard University. He also assembled the definitive collection of George Washington's papers. In Volume XII of these writings, Sparks delved into the religious character of George Washington, and included numerous letters written by the friends, associates, and family of Washington which testified of his religious character. Nelly Custis' letter, which Sparks requested, gave these details:

It was his custom to retire to his library at nine or ten o'clock where he remained an hour before he went to his chamber. He always rose before the sun and remained in his library until called to breakfast.

 Extraordinary  Christian Coaching

Being a Christian is extraordinary.

Being a Christian means two things:

  1. Loving, obeying, worshiping Christ
  2. With all your heart, mind, soul, and strength.

No human being can do this. Only God can take a descendant of Adam and Eve and make that rebel a Christian. Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden in the very presence of God, and they flipped Him the bird. As a result, all their descendants were born rebels.
Except for Jesus.
His Father in Heaven is in the business of adopting descendants of Adam and Eve into the Holy Family.

This is extraordinary.

Further, in order to adopt us, God kills us and then we are born a second time.

Many people who call themselves Christians were never predestined to love Jesus with all their heart. They're just faking it. Being chosen by God for a second birth is extraordinary.

This means being ordinary is a sin.

You need to become extraordinary.

The command to love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength means being moderate, ordinary, or lukewarm is a sin.

• Ordinary "Christians" love other things with all their heart.
• They study other things with their mind, or they disengage their minds in front of the TV.
• They're too tired to get up a little earlier in the morning -- like George Washington did -- before he dodged bullets all day.

A True Christian is an "extremist."

If the Apostles and other great saints were to follow you around for a week, what would they think of the decisions you make, the candidates you vote for, and the people and actions you tolerate?

Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.
22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many deeds of power in your name?'
23 Then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; go away from me, you evildoers.'

How can Jesus justifiably call someone an "evildoer" if he prophesies, casts out demons, and maybe even heals a few people? And he does all this in the name of the Lord??

Have YOU ever cast out a demon or healed anyone? What have YOU done that makes you think you're a Christian?

Do your friends, neighbors, and co-workers think of you as an "extremist," or just an average, normal ordinary person?

Jesus said "average," "moderate," and "normal" makes Him sick:

"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth."

Does being "middle of the road" sound like something that pleases God?

While there's something superficially impressive about our computers, televisions, microwave ovens, and other technology, our pursuit of these trinkets reeks of a fundamental self-centeredness, not necessarily a God-centeredness.

Do you recall Jesus saying this:

Matthew 25:41 Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungered, and ye gave Me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took Me not in: naked, and ye clothed Me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited Me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall He answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to Me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

When was the last time you visited someone in prison?

Jesus said many things like this that offended even those who were His closest disciples:

John 6:66 From that time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him.

And of course, the religious leaders of His day wanted Jesus -- "the Great Teacher and Healer" -- put to death!

Are you sure that you would be a follower of Jesus if He were here today? Are you sure you wouldn't side with the authorities and experts who denounced Jesus and His followers? Are you willing to be a part of a small minority, rather than the vast majority?

In 1892 the United States Supreme Court declared that America was a Christian nation.

Really?

If George Washington and other signers of the Constitution were to follow you around for a week, what would they think of the decisions you make, the candidates you vote for, and the people and actions you tolerate?

And for the support of this Declaration,

What have you pledged of your substance to preserve the things that made America great: "Liberty Under God."

What material things have you sacrificed to preserve the spiritual foundations of America?

What "Valley Forge" have you endured, or are you prepared to endure?

61 Another also said, "I will follow You, Lord; but first permit me to say good-bye to those at home."
62 But Jesus said to him, "No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."

Are you a good Christian?

Are you "fit for the Kingdom?”

Not everyone is called to endure what the Apostle Paul endured, but what are you willing to endure?

2 Corinthians 11:24 Five times I have received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one.
25 Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I received a stoning. Three times I was shipwrecked; for a night and a day I was adrift at sea;
26 on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from bandits, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers and sisters;
27 in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, hungry and thirsty, often without food, cold and naked.

Would you be willing to lose your microwave oven, or your television, if that were necessary to follow Christ?

Would you LIKE to be the kind of American that George Washington would be proud of?

Would you LIKE to be the kind of Christian that would please God? Hebrews 13:16, 21

Surprisingly, it really doesn't take much to follow Christ. Jesus says His burden is light, and His yoke is easy (Matthew 11:30). John says His commandments are not grievous (1 John 5:3).

We have to work against the voice of our conscience in order to keep up with the Joneses instead of following Christ. (Acts 26:14)

Many Americans say they are "independent" and don't believe in "yokes." But the question is not WHETHER we will be under a yoke, but WHOSE yoke we will be under. Wouldn't you rather be under a yoke that's easy? Wouldn't you rather be the slave of a Master who desires only your best? Why accept being an illiterate and dependent slave of a "fearful master?"

What it takes is allegiance. Total commitment. You must be willing to renounce the old country and declare your allegiance to a new Kingdom.

It’s astonishing how many people today are unwilling to make this commitment.

It’s unbelievable how many people prefer the "security" of dictatorship and poverty over the "animating contest" of liberty and prosperity.

I'm willing to bet you $5,000 that the Apostles and America's Founding Fathers would not be impressed with you.

In fact, I think I can prove from the pages of the Bible that you're a wimp and a disgrace to the ideals they bravely fought to protect. They wouldn't consider you a good Christian at all.

I'll bet you.

Hebrews 11:32 And what more should I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets--
33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions,
34 quenched raging fire, escaped the edge of the sword, won strength out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.
35 Women received their dead by resurrection. Others were tortured, refusing to accept release, in order to obtain a better resurrection.
36 Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment.
37 They were stoned to death, they were sawn in two, they were killed by the sword; they went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, persecuted, tormented--
38 of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground.

Just thinking about these great Christians makes you realize I'm right, doesn't it?

You don't realize how right you are. You're a disgrace as a Christian. And I can prove it from page after page of Scriptures that haven't been heard in government schools for over 100 years.

Let me win this bet.

Answer these questions in privacy. Pray about it. I will prove that you're you're a rotten Christian. I will prove that you've been dumbed-down by government-regulated schools, and know less about what it means to be a great Christian than the average third-grader knew 100 years ago.

You'll admit that I've proven my theory, and you'll admit that you lost the bet -- but won a great deal of knowledge about what it means to be a great Christian.

Then I'll show you how to be a great Christian. Practical steps you can take every day, just a few minutes a day, to make you a truly great Christian. One that would have been applauded by great Christians of the past, and that will be admired by your children and great-grandchildren. You'll gladly pay me minimum wage for this program.

There are many things that characterize an extraordinary Christian, but in our day there are three that must be mentioned.

Martin Luther is reported to have said

“If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the Word of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Him. Where the battle rages there the loyalty of the soldier is proved; and to be steady on all the battle front besides, is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.”

Right now the forces of evil are most passionately attacking three Biblical ideas. As a result, these three words are the most hated words in the mainstream media:

  • Theocracy
  • Pacifism
  • Anarchist

All three are characteristics of an extraordinary Christian. To understand why, one must understand the three biggest mistakes committed by America's Founding Fathers.

Being an extraordinary American does not mean worshipping George Washington and Samuel Adams.

George Washington’s Ascension to Heaven

We respect and admire America's Founders, but they were not flawless. They were products of their age. We don't need to worship them. They themselves were aware of the progress that was still needed.

But America's Founders made three huge mistakes, and a genuine Christian has no problem pointing this out.

Huge Mistake Number One:
America’s Founding Fathers emphasized "rights" rather than duties.
They did speak of duties, (in a way and to a degree that public schools today cannot) but their talk about "rights” undercut and negated their talk about duties.
You ask, "What's wrong with human rights?"
If America's Founders could see America in 2012, they would see immediately what's wrong with "rights."
 
I’ll give you an example.
 
None of us has a "right to life."
 
We all have a duty not to kill, but life is a gift, and we don't have a claim on life. God wasn’t obligated to create us, fearing that if He didn’t, He would violate our “right to life.” Nobody, having not yet been created, walked up to the Creator and said, "I demand my right to life!"
 
Only the Sovereign has rights.
 
Washington understood that God was Sovereign, but he inconsistently flattered Americans with talk about their “rights.”
 
Today’s concept of “rights” is destroying America.
The absence of a sense of a Duty to God is also destroying America.

Americans today think they have a right to a first-class education, a high-paying job, wonder-working healthcare, and just about everything they want -- all free, of course.

Has your mind been polluted by this toxic concept?

You must avoid this mistake because it prevents you from becoming a servant of others (Mark 10:42-45).

Huge Mistake Number Two:
They overthrew the government by force and violence.
 
Violent revolution is always wrong, but getting out your musket and killing other Christians is even worse.
 
When you enroll in ExtraordinaryChristianCoaching,
you'll study the Bible and find out that Jesus clearly taught that Christians should not overthrow even the most barbaric, violent, oppressive tyranny in history:
the Roman Empire that imposed a military occupation of Israel.
 
Britain in 1776 was certainly more civilized and Christian than the Roman Empire, but Jesus and the Apostles firmly prohibited resisting even the pagan military occupation of Israel and attempting to overthrow Caesar by violent revolution.
And this was not for tactical reasons or considerations of prudence or the likelihood of success.
Violent revolution is contrary to Christian ethics even if it can succeed.
Followers of Christ don't kill their enemies.
They convert them. They pray for them.
They preach the Word of God,
     the Spirit bears witness to the Word,
     the hearts of the enemy are changed
     and they repent of socialism, fascism
     military occupation and totalitarianism.
When they repent, they resign their political office.
They end imperial conquest and confiscation.
The end their enslavement and conscription of others.
We preach; they repent.
That's the Christian goal, not blowing their brains out.
 
America would be a very different nation if we had obeyed our duties instead of killing for our “rights.”
 
Abolishing tyranny is a good idea. But not with muskets and cannons. Killing a human being created in the Image of God just because that human being is an IRS agent and wants to take your money -- this is not a Christian thing to do.

Nothing could be clearer from the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles than that we must not take up arms to overthrow Caesar. Understanding these commandments will require you to make a complete turn-around in your thinking.

Huge Mistake Number Three:
After they abolished the government,
they replaced it with another.
Yes, that was a mistake.

And you'll see why, and you'll have an alternative,
after you read the next two of the five great works

Following the end of the war in 1783, Washington returned to private life and retired to his plantation at Mount Vernon. He spoke of his desire to live safely under his own Vine & Fig Tree, prompting an incredulous King George III to state, "If he does that, he will be the greatest man in the world."

Despite his yearnings, Washington came out of retirement to preside over the Constitutional Convention and become President of the United States of America.

Was this a mistake? Would Washington have been a greater American if he hadn't? Did America really need a President? Did Israel really need a king?

Patrick Henry (“Give me liberty or give me Death”) refused to support the Constitution.
“I smell a rat in Philadelphia,” he said.
He was right.
So was George Mason, the “Father of the Bill of Rights,” who also opposed the new constitution.

At first, Samuel Adams was an opponent of the Constitution of 1787. Eventually Adams agreed to support it. Patrick Henry never did.

Patrick Henry was right.

The Constitution, with its "separation of powers," "checks and balances," and theory of "enumerated powers," failed to prevent the rise of an atheistic tyranny.

Madison, Hamilton, and John Jay sold America on a Constitution which they claimed would prevent the rise of another tyranny.

They were wrong.

As great as the Constitution was, it could not prevent a tyranny worse than the one America abolished in a war from 1775-1783.

Every single person who signed the Declaration of Independence and/or the Constitution would take immediate steps to begin abolishing our present government if they were here in 2012.

And because America's Founding Fathers were excellent students of history, if they could see the history of the world from 1789 to 2012, they would become the most radical of libertarians.

They gave us what they called "an Experiment in Liberty," and America became the most prosperous and admired nation in history. Washington D.C. abandoned that experiment in the 20th century, embarking on an experiment in government central planning. Everywhere this experiment was tried -- German, Italy, the Soviet Union -- it left poverty and mass death.

Sam Adams would see that we need to abolish the current tyranny, and replace it with nothing but "the Invisible Hand" of 100% unregulated, Laissez-faire capitalism.

Another word for 100% unregulated, Laissez-faire capitalism is "anarcho-capitalism."

You're thinking: "Those greedy capitalists will exploit the poor!"

As if greedy politicians don't.

As if the poor are better off when the entire nation is poor under socialism.

But your moral concerns are valid.

That's why George Washington, Samuel Adams and nearly all of America's Founding Fathers believed America had to be a Christian Theocracy.

In his Farewell Address, Washington reminded the nation:

Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, Religion, and Morality are indispensable supports.—In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Men and Citizens. —The mere Politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them.—A volume could not trace all their connexions with private and public felicity.—Let it simply be asked where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths, which are the instruments of investigation in Courts of Justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition, that morality can be maintained without religion.—Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure—reason and experience both forbid us to expect, that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.—

Religion is a public, not just a private matter. You can't be a good American citizen if you ignore Christianity. Atheism is contrary to reason.

 Sam Adams said,

[N]either the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt.

His cousin, John Adams, said:

[W]e have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. . . . Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

[I]t is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue.

Sam Adams wrote to his cousin John:

Let divines and philosophers, statesmen and patriots, unite their endeavors to renovate the age, by impressing the minds of men with the importance of educating their little boys and girls, of inculcating in the minds of youth the fear and love of the Deity. . . and, in subordination to these great principles, the love of their country. . . . In short, of leading them in the study and practice of the exalted virtues of the Christian system.

On the day after the Constitution went into effect in March of 1789, America and each one of the 13 united States was a Christian Theocracy.

You are going to join other extraordinary Americans in undertaking the task of abolishing the U.S. government and making America a Christian Theocracy again.

America's Founders agreed that our nation must be "under God" -- the true God, not Osama bin Ladin's God -- and thus a Christian Theocracy, governed by the true religion.

From a Christian perspective, two things characterize pure religion. They can be summed up in the words of the Apostle James:

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this,
To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and
to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

James 1:27

This is why voluntary charities were everywhere in early America, and why welfare has now been nationalized by the State.

As Washington D.C. drives America, the Christian nation, over the edge of a cliff, the extraordinary Christian is standing up for America as a Christian nation, a nation under God (Theocracy), opposing America as a global bully (pacifism), and urging a return to America as an "experiment in liberty" (anarchism).

"Anarchism" is a particularly tough pill to swallow. Here is an excerpt from another website of mine:

Who is the Greatest Threat to Life, Liberty and Property?

A. "Governments"

B. "Criminals"

 

Who drops the most bombs,
assassinates the most people,
deprives more individuals of liberty
destroys the most private property,
and causes the most chaos and disorder?

"Anarchists" or "Archists?"

Organized "government" claims to protect us from "criminals" who might steal from us or kill us.

  • In 1994, "criminals" committed 7,885 bank robberies, taking $28 million. That same year, "government agencies" seized $2.1 Billion in "asset forfeiture proceedings," often without "probable cause," and often not returned when innocence was proven.
  • The Federal Government confiscates over half of everything you earn. How much do "anarchists" withhold from your paycheck?
  • The "anarchist" Tim McVeigh was blamed for the bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma, but U.S. archists have bombed many more federal buildings in Iraq, with far greater loss of innocent life. Some who are reading this will remember Dresden.

The rubble of an Iraqi neighborhood"Archists" have confiscated hundreds of billions of dollars in private property in recent years, have murdered hundreds of millions, and have deprived billions of human beings -- literally, billions -- of liberty. And much of this has been funded or protected by the productivity of Americans like you. "Your tax dollars at work."

In the 20th century, organized "governments" intentionally killed an average of 10,000 human beings each and every single day. (That figure does not include abortions, which occur today an average of 135,000 times per day around the world.) Our program will prove to you that "the government" is the greatest force for crime and evil on the planet.

By the time you finish this program,
you will agree that
ARCHISTS are the greatest enemy of
Godly order,
and those of us who are anarchists
must persuade all archists to repent.

  • one game show and one soap opera (e.g., "Wheel of Fortune" and "Days of Our Lives")
  • "American Idol," "Dancing with the Stars," etc.
  • the morning paper and the Evening News (e.g., "Los Angeles Times" and "CBS Evening News With Katie Couric")
  • radio, at home or in the car (e.g., Howard Stern, NPR, Rush Limbaugh, or Golden Oldies)
  • one CD or an hour's worth of i-tunes.
  • one DVD rental
  • an hour of video games  (online or offline)
  • Hannity and Colmes
  • O'Reilly Factor
  • an hour of Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, or other internet gossip sites.
  • any combination of any form of mainstream media, including mainstream websites like "The Drudge Report"

In place of these distractions, you will substitute in its place 35-45 minutes of our daily reading program, 5 or 6 minutes answering no-trick questions, and a few minutes of prayerful thought.
  • 20 minutes in the morning, 20 in the evening.
  • 15 minutes for breakfast, 15 minutes at lunch, 15 minutes after dinner.
  • Any way you choose.

Our daily reading program consists of the five most important works in the history of western civilization.

The first book, obviously, is the Bible. It takes about 11 minutes a day to read the Bible from cover to cover. We will send you daily assignments from the other books, about 6 minutes a day from each. We'll also work on applying these principles in your daily life. Less than one hour a day total.

The Bible is the most important book in the history of Western Civilization. It is also the book more people own but have never read. Yet these same people have dogmatic opinions about the nature of the Bible and what it says. Because you are a victim of educational malpractice, and lack a colonial American education, you may have erroneous pre-conceived ideas about the Bible that close your mind to the conclusions to which we are trying to lead you. You may doubt our credibility and reliability to the point where you will not be persuaded by anything we say about the Bible. Therefore we will require you to read four (4) other works which are widely regarded as being among the most important in the history of Western Civilization. Reading these four works, in addition to the Bible, will re-create a colonial American education in just one year. These four credible, reliable, and time-honored works will abundantly confirm our "anarchist" and "Theocratic" interpretation of the Bible and the human condition. We will show you how to download these works for free from the Internet.

Success experts like Brian Tracy say you should read for an hour each day in your chosen field to be successful (that's more than a dozen books a year). George Washington read the Bible for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening. Your "chosen field" was chosen for you by God: to be an extraordinary human being. If you can't read just four of the most important books in the history of Western Civilization next year, you'll never be a success in the human race.

At a time when the total population of America was only four million people, it is estimated that some five million copies of the "Westminster Shorter Catechism" were available in the colonies. Historian Richard Gardiner writes:

The Westminster Catechism was not only a central part of the colonial educational curriculum, learning it was required by law. Each town employed an officer whose duty was to visit homes to hear the children recite the Catechism. The primary schoolbook for children, the New England Primer, included the Catechism. Daily recitations of it were required at these schools. Their curriculum included memorization of the Westminster Confession and the Westminster Larger Catechism. There was not a person at Independence Hall in 1776 who had not been exposed to it, and most of them had it spoon fed to them before they could walk.

Clearly, America was a Christian Theocracy, a nation "under God."

Nobody in 2012 likes that word "Theocracy." (It means "God governs." It does not mean "priests govern." You can have a "Theocracy" with no priests or clergy whatsoever.) A nation "under God" is, by definition, a Theocracy. The "Vine & Fig Tree" society is a Christian Theocracy, where everyone believes that God says "Thou shalt not steal" and "Thou shalt not kill." When this happens, your life, liberty, and property are safe.

It will take you 3 minutes to read the next few paragraphs, a survey of America's Theocratic history.

In the 1600's, the Puritans created America as a "City Upon a Hill." Their first goal was to convert the natives to Christianity, and then transform the entire planet into a Christian Theocracy.

The first Virginia Charter, 1606, issued by King James I, recited the purposes of the colony:

"To make Habitation . . . and to deduce a colony of sundry of our People into that part of America commonly called Virginia . . . in propagating of Christian religion to such People, as yet live in Darkness . . . [to] bring . . . a settled and quiet Government."

Every subsequent charter for every other colony had the same purpose: propagate the Christian religion.

Massachusetts Charter, 1629: "Our said People. . . may be soe religiously, peaceablie, and civilly governed, as their good Life and orderlie Conversacon maie wynn and incite the Natives of [that] Country, to the Knowledge and Obedience of the onlie true god and Sauior of Mankinde, and the Christian fayth, which in our Royall Intencon . . . is the principall Ende of this Plantacon."

New England Confederation, 1643: [Composed of Mass., Conn., New Plymouth, and New Haven] "We all came into these parts of America, with one and the same end and aim, namely, to advance the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ."

In 1775, America consisted of 13 Christian Theocracies. This is an indisputable fact.

The Declaration of Independence (1776) is a Theocratic document. It says things that cannot be said in nations which claim to be "secular."

In our day the federal government makes it illegal for a school teacher in a government-run school to teach students that the Declaration of Independence really is true.

The Federal Government says that teachers in government-operated schools paid for by your property taxes cannot "endorse" or "promote" these ideas. Students can be taught that a long time ago some dead white guys wearing powdered wigs believed the Declaration of Independence was true, but teachers cannot say it really is objectively true (regardless of what anyone believes about it), and that students should stand up and risk their lives, their fortunes and the sacred honor in defense of those unchanging true principles.

In 1776, America consisted of 13 Christian Theocracies.

James Madison, "the Father of the Constitution," told his fellow Virginia legislators in 1785 that they should keep in mind the original purposes of Virginia, and vote against any proposed legislation if

the policy of the bill is adverse to the diffusion of the light of Christianity. The first wish of those who enjoy this precious gift, ought to be that it may be imparted to the whole race of mankind. Compare the number of those who have as yet received it with the number still remaining under the dominion of false Religions; and how small is the former! Does the policy of the Bill tend to lessen the disproportion? No; it at once discourages those who are strangers to the light of (revelation) from coming into the Region of it; and countenances, by example the nations who continue in darkness, in shutting out those who might convey it to them. Instead of levelling as far as possible, every obstacle to the victorious progress of truth, the Bill with an ignoble and unchristian timidity would circumscribe it, with a wall of defence, against the encroachments of error.
Memorial and Remonstrance, 1785

When 13 Christian Theocracies ratified a new Constitution in 1789, not one of them believed they were ratifying a secular Constitution which empowered the federal government to impose atheism (the absence of true religion) on the 13 Christian Theocracies, including their schools and all public buildings.

In 1844, the U.S. Supreme Court decided the case of Vidal v. Girard's Executors, 43 U.S. 127 (1844), which said that government-funded schools must teach "the Bible, and especially the New Testament" "as a divine revelation," and that a secular school "is not to be presumed to exist in a Christian country."

In 1892, a still-conservative U.S. Supreme Court looked back on this case and the rest of American history and reminded a post-Darwinian America that she was still legally and officially a Christian nation.

Most Americans are uncomfortable with America's Christian Theocratic past. They are relieved, therefore, when they learn that the U.S. Supreme Court threw out that 1892 case in the 20th century and swung to the opposite (secular) extreme.

A government that will not admit it is "under God" is a government that believes it IS God. Whereas America was originally conceived as a Christian "City upon a Hill," to export Christianity around the world, the United States is now a secular "City upon a Hill," exporting atheism, weapons, pornography, and fascism around the world.

It takes approximately 11 minutes per day to read through the Bible from cover to cover. It only takes a couple of minutes to read through the Westminster Catechisms and Confession. They were written around 1645 and the drafters unequivocally opposed "anarchism." But they believed that God is God, and denied that the State is God, a necessary first step on your road to becoming a "Vine & Fig Tree" anarchist.

  • America's Founders spoke of America as "an Experiment in Liberty" (1787-1887)
    • The "experiment" was a success: a Free Market made America the most prosperous and admired nation in history. "Capitalism" means freedom.
  • In the 20th century, the experiment in liberty was replaced with another experiment: an experiment in central planning
  • The original American dream of personal, private ownership, has been replaced with private indebtedness and public control.
  • The Invisible Hand of the Free Market works better than the Visible Fist of Government
  • America was founded on the philosophy of "Liberty Under God."
    • "Liberty" means freedom from government suppression of ideas and confiscation of wealth
    • "Under God" means we have a personal responsibility to love God and neighbor.
  • The original American Dream: Everyone dwelling safely under his own Vine & Fig Tree
    • Human beings are endowed with the right to property by God, not the government.
  • America was founded as a "City upon a Hill," a Christian nation from which the Gospel would be promoted around the world, and the "blessings of liberty" would cover the planet.
  • There is a difference between "the state" and "society." Society = the people.
  • Economics in One Lesson:
    • From this aspect, therefore, the whole of economics can be reduced to a single lesson, and that lesson can be reduced to a single sentence: The art of economics consists in looking not merely at the immediate but at the longer effects of any act or policy; it consists in tracing the consequences of that policy not merely for one group but for all groups.
  • America's Founders recognized that liberty requires Christian morality.

Many people today believe that the government produces wealth. Others want the government to redistribute wealth ("spread the wealth") to special interests. Such people wouldn't even entertain the idea of abolishing the government, much less actively work toward that goal. "The government can give us whatever we want if we just vote the most generous and compassionate politicians into office." Adam Smith would be appalled at such ignorance and immorality. Smith taught ethics at the University of Glasgow and wrote a Theory of Moral Sentiments. In the same year as the Declaration of Independence was written (1776), Adam Smith wrote a book entitled An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of The Wealth of Nations, widely regarded as the first treatise on capitalism. Capitalism is unquestionably one of the most important features of Western Civilization. Capitalist nations enjoy health and prosperity. Capitalism is the opposite of socialism. Socialist nations can't spread the wealth, they can only spread the poverty. Socialism -- government intervention in the economy -- is not just inefficient and wasteful, it is immoral.

Smith's book is not easy reading. A more recent treatise is:  Capitalism by Prof. George Reisman. We will assign Reisman's text. Consistent socialism is maximum government. We believe consistent capitalism is anarchism, the absence of government force. Prof. Reisman disagrees with us, but his book will help us prove our point with credibility and impeccable logic.

America became the most prosperous and admired nation in history because it was a nation "Under God." In short, America was a Christian Theocracy. Today the word "theocracy" conjures up images of Islamic terrorists and mullahs. People think of "theocracy" as a police state  governed by priests. This is inaccurate. The word "theocracy" comes from two Greek words, theos, meaning "God," and a Greek word meaning "rule." A theocracy where God rules is a nation "under God." America has always been known as "one nation Under God," and therefore America has always been a Christian Theocracy.

But there are good theocracies and there are bad ones. A nation can be attempting to be a Christian Theocracy and do a very poor job of it. We do not believe that a good Christian Theocracy is a police state. We believe a good Christian Theocracy is one where all the priests and princes have resigned and gotten real jobs where they serve others.

A Christian Theocracy seeks to give God all the glory. It's hard to see that God rules when the State claims to be the Messiah.

Americans today have been misled by the myth of "the Separation of Church and State." This mythical idea -- not found anywhere in the Constitution -- has come to mean the separation of God and State, with God being separated into the private world of fantasy and imagination, and the State having omnipotent power in public, "the real world."

In 1892 the United States Supreme Court unanimously declared that America was "a Christian nation." The Court went back to the discovery of North America by Columbus, and summarized all the official legal charters and documents that acknowledged our duty to God and created the American Theocracy, the most prosperous and admired nation in history. In 1989 the Court said, "This Court  squarely has rejected the proposition that the First Amendment is to be interpreted in light of any favoritism for Christianity that may have existed among the Founders of the Republic. "May have?" America is no longer a nation under God. As a result, America -- once prosperous and admired --  is now bankrupt and despised.

The great conflict in Western Civilization today is whether our world will become

 • an Islamic theocracy,
 • an atheistic theocracy (where man thinks he is his own god, but the omnipotent secular State wields total, crushing power),
 • or whether America will again be a "City upon a Hill," persuading the world to become a peaceful, global Christian Theocracy -- the kind described by the Prophet Micah.

The third reading assignment will be the history of Christian Theocracy and "Western Civilization."

Hundreds of years before Christ, the prophet Daniel spoke of the first Christmas, Christ's coming in the days of the Roman Empire. That empire was destroyed, and Christian Theocracy began growing. The Emperor Justinian began Christianizing the Eastern Roman Empire, and in the West kings like Alfred and Ethelbert made the 10 Commandments the basis of new legal systems. The "Common Law" began, with a Christian foundation, and eventually found its way into the Constitution of the United States, "a Christian nation." No one book adequately chronicles this history, so we will read from a number of books that try:

           

Excerpts from these books are freely available on the Internet. Only one of the authors agrees with our anarchist conclusions, but their arguments lead to our conclusions if consistently held.

There are two stories that need to be told:

The first is how Christianity destroyed the slavery and paganism of the Roman Empire and brought "Liberty Under God," the foundation of "Western Civilization" (476 A.D.- 1517 A.D.).

The second story is the story of America, and how
• Calvinism created America (1517 - 1787)
• America apostatized into an atheistic empire (1789 - 2012)
• and -- hopefully -- how America repented and became an anarchist-theocracy (2012 - ????).

To begin this second story, we will assign the reading of the Supreme Court's opinion in the 1892 Decision Holy Trinity Church vs. The United States and all the historic legal documents cited by the Court.

Property and civilization are not secure in the absence of these character traits, no matter how powerful "governments" are. Where these traits are cultivated and rewarded, "archists" are unnecessary.

One of the most popular objections to undertaking the task of abolishing an atheistic dictatorship by working to persuade archists to repent (resign) is the belief that Christ is going to return "any day now," and "you don't polish brass on a sinking ship." Christians are soon going to be "raptured," it is believed, so why work against the tyranny of "The New World Order" or invest energy in a defense of "Liberty Under God?" Those voicing such objections will be assigned an 1876 book entitled The Parousia:

This book is simply a catalog of all New Testament prophecies concerning "the second coming." The result of looking at all the evidence will be a "paradigm shift."

On the other hand, you may lose everything. In our day the "Bill of Rights" means nothing. You may become the object of government surveillance. The FBI or other government intelligence agencies may open a dossier on you and members of your family. Your participation and public affiliation with an "anarchist" website may lead to IRS harassment in the form of an audit or other legal inconveniences. You may be deemed an "enemy combatant." If your job required you to take an oath or sign a statement indicating your support of the U.S. Constitution, you may lose your job because you visit "anarchist" websites. Your house or place of business may be searched and your assets "forfeited." You may become targeted for assassination. We cannot be responsible for these eventualities. You have to make the decision: will you be approved by the government, or will you be approved by God?

Is he going to heaven? I would say "yes," on this condition: If God were to give that person 5 additional years of life, would that person be willing to live every day of that gift-life as an "extremist," obeying God with every ounce of heart, mind, soul and strength? If yes, then it's probably a genuine conversion. If no, and the person will continue life during those five gift-years as a couch-potato, a party animal, or a political hack, then as one theologian put it, "hell will be hotter."

Christians Should be Lifelong-Learners

THOMAS JEFFERSON said, "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be." Our efforts to create a "Vine & Fig Tree" society depend on persuading adults that they cannot stop formal education with high school or college, but should be learning and growing throughout their entire lives. Not accidentally learning, but intentionally, or formally. It is a mistake to think of childhood as a time of education alone and no work, and equally a mistake to think of adulthood as a time of work alone and no education. (Increasingly, childhood is being stripped of education and replaced with "play," and adults only work to be able to purchase "adult toys." In the Bible, both age groups, which were commanded to work and learn God's Word, were commanded to periodically engage in resting and feasting, times of re-creation, worship, and celebration, which in the modern world has been reduced to "play.")
Deuteronomy 5:1  And Moses called all Israel, and said to them: “Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your hearing today, that you may learn them and be careful to observe them.
Proverbs 9:9   Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
Isaiah 1:17   Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.

Every Hour of the Day Belongs to God

You must use your time the way God commands you to. God commands you to seek His will in the Bible every day. If you don't have time to sit down, open up your Bible, and study for 5 minutes, you're doing something terribly wrong. Carve out 5 minutes a day for 30 days, and then come back to this website. Once you get into the habit of giving God 5 minutes, you will soon be able to give a half-hour, then an hour. Examine your priorities. Redeem the time (Ephesians 5:16; Colossians 4:5)
